Barrel, cabin, and hybrid outdoor saunas — built for year-round use.
An outdoor sauna is a permanent addition to how you recover, unwind, and take care of your body. The right one will still be standing 20 years from now, through every season. The wrong one warps, underheats, or sits unused because it never matched how you actually live. We carry barrel, cabin, cube, and hybrid outdoor saunas from SaunaLife, Golden Designs, Sunray, and Finnmark — so you can compare styles, sizes, and heating systems without switching stores.
Three main styles.
Western red cedar is the benchmark — naturally antimicrobial, rot-resistant, and aromatic. Nordic spruce and thermowood (heat-treated timber) are strong alternatives that hold up well in wet or variable climates. Avoid untreated hemlock for fully exposed outdoor installs.
Most do. Standard 6kW heaters require a 240V 40–60A dedicated circuit installed by a licensed electrician — budget $400–$1,500 for the electrical work on top of the sauna cost. Some smaller 2-person models run on 120V and can plug into a standard outlet.
Yes — that's one of their main advantages over indoor models. Quality outdoor saunas are built specifically for weather exposure. Cedar and thermowood construction handles freeze-thaw cycles well. A fitted cover extends the life of the exterior finish and is worth the investment.
A 2–3 person model works well for individuals or couples who want daily use. A 4–6 person barrel or cabin is the most popular choice for households — it gives flexibility without a footprint that's hard to site. Groups or families who want to entertain should look at 6-person cabin or garden-series models.
